Girls in middle school (typically age 10 to 14) will become scientists and engineers for a day. The workshops will include experiments with imaging, virtual reality, sensors, bioengineering, or robotics.

Parents can attend a concurrent program with a mix of hands on experiences that can be duplicated at home and discover the future that awaits their daughters in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The parents program will conclude with a visit to the classrooms to see what the kids have learned.

Girls can participate without parents attending. All girls will be under the supervision of mentors.

This event is organized by the IEEE Buenaventura Section, with the gracious hospitality of La Reina High School and Middle School in Thousand Oaks.
