IEEE Buenaventura Spring Mixer: RISING STARS AND OLD NEBULAS IN BLUE JEANS

Celebrating Levi Strauss’s patent of the blue jeans issued 142 years ago

Join us and see what everyone is up to! We are creating a moment for everyone to just chill and relax among fellow engineers in the cool and hip setting of the CLU’s new Huddle Entrepreneurial Center in Westlake Village.

6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

We designed a fun and easy-going experience for you! You are the guest of the Buenaventura Section.  We will serve appetizers, wine, and soda.

No fee for entrance, parking, food or drinks.

You will have a chance to discover the CLU’s new Huddle Entrepreneurial Center, a local startup heaven and a bit of ‘Google’ type creative environment here in the Conejo Valley. You will get a sense of the resources available to entrepreneurs and why the Huddle is a place where small companies can get their start and grow.

Zak Cohen, our EMCEE, will be providing one of his famous brief but truly humorous presentations on what happened on the same day a long time ago. This year, Zak will share some unique insights into the patent of the blue jeans by Levi Strauss 142 years ago!

Our Rising Stars, i.e. young engineering professionals and start-up entrepreneurs, will get a chance to network with the Old Nebulas, IEEE engineers who are in Sr. Management or top technical positions.

You can bring your friends and fellow engineers not yet IEEE members to the event. No charge of course for your guests either.

Dress code is relaxed and casual. A good pair of jeans will match the spirit of the event.

Rummage through your closets. Donate your old pairs of jeans at the mixer. Our IEEE Section believes in amplifying its impact to our community through its events. We will collect outgrown or old jeans that you may no longer wear. All contributions will benefit the Salvation Army.

Your RSVP will help us ensure enough food and drink for all!
