Girls in grades 5 to 8 became scientists and engineers for a day. They explored how science, technology, engineering and math can help sustain our planet.

Students attended from workshops on chemistry, circuits, gravity or magnetism; with a focus on how these technologies can be used sustainably.

This event was organized by the IEEE Buenaventura Section, with the gracious hospitality of Isbell Middle School in Santa Paula. The event was supported by women and men in STEM professions, and from donations to the IEEE Foundation and Techbridge Girls.

Event was free of charge, Lunch was be provided.
