No In-Person Talks in April

No local in-person talks are scheduled in April due to restrictions to control the spread of COVID-19. We hope to schedule talks using web conferencing in the near future.

California Company Refurbishing Ventilators

Bloom Energy has begun refurbishing many of the thousands of out-of-service ventilators in the U.S. They are working with state agencies and customers to identify supplies of unused, out-of-service ventilators. If you know of any organizations that have out-of-service ventilators, or have the capability to certify ventilators for use, they want to hear from you.

Visit www.bloomenergy.com/ventilators for details.

IEEE-USA Webinars

•  April 9, 11 AM PDT: Discover Yourself and Your Unique Brand
Sree Gadde will explore and illustrate why engineers need to differentiate themselves as they grow their careers. To advance in the workplace and in life, everyone needs to identify what makes them different than their co-workers and how they can leverage these differences drive value in their lives. Specifically, by focusing on what motivates us, we are able to find and excel at jobs that satisfy our needs as people.

•  April 21, 10 AM PDT: Using DISC to Increase Civility, Engagement & Personal Leadership
The DISC (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness) assessment is a non-judgmental tool used for discussion of people's behavioral differences. If you participate in a DISC program, you'll be asked to complete a series of questions that produce a detailed report about your personality and behavior. Even if you haven’t taken this DISC Assessment before, you’ll gain some great tools for improving your communication with others by attending this webinar.
